But… this leaves me hungry with little time!  I need healthy fast food!  It is all about planning… These are so easy to make and delicious to grab when I need a pick-me-up!

These two love them too (and they also get a little tired sometimes!)  HAHA… going to all those playgrounds is hard work!  IMG_3673

Don’t Drink Shakeology!

If you’re thinking… “I don’t do shakes”

I say… I didn’t either!  I was afraid of “bulking up” so instead I made surgery smoothies (that I thought were healthy) AND ate too much junk food!

But now… I eat a lot less sugar AND don’t feel like I need all that junk food to satisfy me!

If you’re thinking… “I like to EAT real food”

I say… I agree! Which is exactly WHY I drink this- because it IS WHOLE FOODS.

But now… I save time preparing and get more nutrients and vitamins then I could ever make on my own!

If you’re thinking… “I’m just going to get the workout program and not the nutrition”

I say… Yep, I’ve tried that too and you can’t work off a bad diet.  I’ve always worked out a ton… but it wasn’t until I learned the right things to eat that I saw results!

If you’re thinking… “I agree it’s delicious and healthy but it’s too expensive”

I say… Yes, I used to think the same thing before I educated myself… And did the math (believe me…. I don’t waste money!)

It’s not expensive.

It’s roughly $4 a meal:

  • $4 for HEALTH.
  • $4 for my whole life to get better.
  • $4 for my body to realize FOOD MATTERS.
  • $4 to feel the best I’ve ever felt.
  • $4 for boosted energy.
  • $4 for cravings to diminish.
  • $4 for the bloat to go away.
  • $4 for a quick meal.

I see VALUE.

Once I realized it’s just like paying for 30 meals all at once…I realized I was SAVING money!

Frozen Vanilla Latte Shakeology

This just may be her smile for picture day today… 😉  IMG_5809.jpeg

Then she takes a sip of this drink and says, “A little less coffee and a little more strawberry and it would be perfect!”  HAHA  (Oh, while that does sound good… this is also good!)  IMG_0821.jpeg

Stuffed Spaghetti Squash

This was my first time making spaghetti squash!  I couldn’t believe how easy it is to make and how delicious!  Plus, there are so many things you can do to change it up!  We kept it pretty simple but I’m excited to try more ideas.

  • CAREFULLY cut the spaghetti squash in half.  (You can warm it in the microwave for about 2 minutes to make it softer.)

  • Lightly brush with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
  • Bake face down at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
  • Shred (scrape) sides with a fork.  IMG_1972.jpg
  • Top with whatever you like (we like spinach, tomatoes, cheese, and even pepperoni) and cook at 350 degrees for an additional 15-20 minutes.

  • Enjoy!

Cafe Latte Overnight Oats

Breakfast is SO important for a good start to the day.  Skipping meals, ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST, can make it much more difficult to maintain a healthy weight/lose weight.  By skipping breakfast our bodies tend to need more food later.  I love to eat a healthy and filling breakfast to start out the day!  Here is my new favorite:  IMG_2804.JPG

Cafe Latte Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup plain 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 banana (mashed)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons Cafe Latte Shakeology

Directions:

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a closed jar.
  2. Let mixture sit 4-12 hours in refrigerator.
  3. When ready to eat, stir in Shakeology.
  4. Enjoy!

Snickers Shakeology

People often tell me that Shakeology is too expensive…then shortly after they fill their body with an unhealthy meal that costs more than $4!

Shakeology can cost less than $4 (ask me about getting the best price!)  for a “fast” superfood packed meal that fills me up and leaves me feeling great!  My cravings are gone, I have more energy, and I really feel good!

So, maybe instead of eating out often (like on Valentine’s Day)… why not consider making an investment in your health and eating something delicious every day that will make you feel your best!

I never get tired of Shakeology with all the awesome recipes!  Here’s the one I created today!  IMG_2786 (2).jpg

Hammer and Chisel- What’s Next?

I have completed the 8 week program, but I’m not stopping there!  12640398_1059130227461353_8897700877159182981_o-2.jpg

I took things a little easier this past week due to a minor cold and the snowy weather.  IMG_3778.jpeg

The program has the option after the 8 weeks to choose a 30 day continuation plan.  You can choose the HAMMER or CHISEL workouts.  I am definitely choosing the Hammer!  While I will miss Autumn (trainer that leads Chiselworkouts and 21 Day Fix),  I am excited to focus more on building muscle, strength, and power.  I feel in combination with running these workouts benefit me most!  IMG_1491.jpeg
