Apple Cinnamon Bites

We have been busy around here!  My sister is home for a few days – until she leaves for her awesome summer job – so we have been squeezing in lots of our favorite things!  Obviously running…IMG_5638.jpeg

…and some baking!  All healthy things of course! 🙂  One of my biggest tips DON’T BAKE WHEN YOU’RE HUNGRY!  And so before we sipped on this deliciousness… IMG_7962.jpeg

I would definitely recommend trying these!  They taste just like a cookie and they aren’t too bad for you!


Healthy Apple Cinnamon Bites (makes 15 cookies)


  • 1 cup oats
  • 3/4 cup whole wheet flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 apple (cut in small chunks)
  • 1/2 cup agave
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil


  1. In a large bowl whisk dry ingredients together (oats, flour, baking powder , cinnamon, and salt).
  2. In a small bowl whisk wet ingredients together (egg, coconut oil, and vanilla).  Stir in agave.  -This is where little ones can help out!IMG_6013.jpeg
  3. Fold dry ingredients into wet.
  4. Stir in apple chunks.IMG_3510.jpeg
  5. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 325 degrees for 13-15 minutes.  IMG_7125.JPG

Healthy Chocolate Dipped Bananas

These Healthy Chocolate Dipped Bananas help me to do my best, whether it’s in a workout or playing legos!  They give me energy while filling my body with good stuff!  IMG_6365.jpeg

Shakeology Chocolate Dipped Bananas  


  • 2 medium bananas
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 scoop chocolate Shakeology


  1. Cut bananas into approximately 1 inch pieces.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl melt coconut oil and peanut butter (approximately 45 seconds).
  3. Once melted take out of the microwave and mix with a spoon until cooled (approximately 4 minutes).
  4. Once cooled stir in Shakeology and mix well.
  5. Cover bananas in mixture and place on wax paper.
  6. Cool in refrigerator or freezer at least 10 minutes.
  7. Enjoy!  I like to eat some right out of the fridge and freeze the rest for later!

Choco-Energy Bites

But… this leaves me hungry with little time!  I need healthy fast food!  It is all about planning… These are so easy to make and delicious to grab when I need a pick-me-up!

These two love them too (and they also get a little tired sometimes!)  HAHA… going to all those playgrounds is hard work!  IMG_3673

Choco-Energy Bites


  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1/2 banana (mashed)
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate Shakeology OR chocolate flavored protein powder


  • Stir oats, peanut butter, honey, chocolate, chia seeds, banana, and Shakeology until evenly mixed.
  • Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Scoop chilled mixture into balls.  Keep cold until serving.

Snickers Shakeology

People often tell me that Shakeology is too expensive…then shortly after they fill their body with an unhealthy meal that costs more than $4!

Shakeology can cost less than $4 (ask me about getting the best price!)  for a “fast” superfood packed meal that fills me up and leaves me feeling great!  My cravings are gone, I have more energy, and I really feel good!

So, maybe instead of eating out often (like on Valentine’s Day)… why not consider making an investment in your health and eating something delicious every day that will make you feel your best!

Apples and DIP!

I LOVE yogurt.  I have been eating cartons since before I could use a spoon!  When Greek yogurt came out I quickly fell in love and switched.  It is easy for me to eat one serving and sometimes two a day.. plus, it helps me to get all of my calcium in!  However, I was also getting a lot of sugar in one serving 😦  I finally cut back on my sugar and switched to plain 0% fat Greek.  I buy the larger tub (so it will last me a couple of days) and love it.  I actually think regular yogurt tastes way to surgery now!

Sometimes I mix a little honey and cinnamon, natural peanut butter and a banana, or fresh berries into my yogurt, but I have to share this recipe because it is SO good!


My Apple Dip

  • 3/4 cup plain 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate Shakeology
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup walnuts

Mix well and use as a dip for apples or eat plain!  Enjoy 🙂

Creamy Candy Cane Shakeology

I am pretty sure I will be having this one year round! (I have a SECRET broken candy cane stash ready!)  I absolutely love plain Greek yogurt in my shakes and with the almond milk… it makes it extra creamy!  Make sure to blend really well.  If you try it… let me know what you think!


Candy Cane Coffee Shakeology

IMG_7320.jpegI really am ALWAYS on the go… even if it is just walking someone to school!  Shakeology is my energy, sweet treat, 70+ superfood packed meal!  It is quick and ready for on the go!  This is the recipe I had after Day 5 of The Master’s Hammer and Chisel workout!

Candy Cane Coffee Shakeology

Blend and enjoy:

  • 1 scoop chocolate Shakeology
  • 3/4 cup cold coffee
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • (optional) 1 tablespoon crushed candy cane
  • 1 cup ice
